I had the honor of representing Galen University at the Joint Youth Consultation & Engagement Forum in Belize City alongside our SGA Vice President Meijah Carrias

It was an incredible experience being part of the discussions with youths from across Belize, sharing perspectives on climate change and learning about the many opportunities available through the Department of Youth Services (DYS), the SDU Unit, and UNICEF.

The forum highlighted the importance of amplifying youth voices in national climate policy and showcased resources, programs, and leadership opportunities that empower us to grow and make an impact.

If we imagine Belize in 2050, what do you see? The same beaches, islands, and beautiful waters with our amazing marine life? Our Belizean jewel of a jungle with its breathtaking wildlife? We all treasure this beauty, and I know we want the same for future generations. That’s why we must act now, protect it, preserve it, and ensure we are not selfish in destroying it today. Together, we can safeguard Belize’s natural treasures for tomorrow
