Botho Francois Masisi, better known as B.Frnce, was born in Gaborone, Botswana in May 27th 1998. He is a 25-year-old rapper, songwriter and producer who was raised by a single mother with his brother. Frnce wrote his first song at the age of 8 years following the footsteps of his brother, and later produced his first beat when he was 16 years old. He dropped the "a" in his stage name due to trademark issues, with "France" being a name of a country; inspired by The Weeknd who did so avoid trademark problems with the band "The Weekend”. B.Frnce was inspired to write his first rap song by Bow Wow. Nas, 2Pac, The Notorious B.I.G., Jay-Z, Eminem, Lil Wayne, Andre 3000, Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole are his biggest influences. He was also inspired to occasionally add melodic touches by Drake, Tory Lanez and Bryson Tiller, also inspired by Aaliyah and Lauryn Hill. Frnce was inspired by rapper-producers such as Cole, Andre 3000, Kanye West and Dr Dre, as well as producers Timbaland, Swizz Beatz, Mustard, Mike Will Made It, Metro Boomin, O.V.O Sound producers like 40 and Boi 1da, and more. Botho has always been a hip-hop head who also listened to The Game, 50 Cent, Ice Cube, Joey Badass, Dave East and many more. B.Frnce is best known and praised for his unique lyricism, moving content, amazing flows, versatility and banging sound. Frnce is able to make and jump on any beat and turn it into a great song accordingly; his music speaks for itself. His listeners consider him to be the best rapper in Botswana and Africa, and they believe he is, or deserves to be, the next big hip-hop act at an international level. He was often compared to Nasty C, A-Reece, and Shane Eagle due to their age, caliber and music style. He has had several performances, created events, and collaborated with the likes of Zeus, Eric Ramco, Buti on the Track and more. Since 2018, B.Frnce has released his debut EP "B.Fre We Get It", his debut mixtape "The Let's Get It Tape", an unofficial playlist titled "Don't Sue Me" and several singles and covers prior, during and after the releasing of his projects to date. B.Frnce has received radio airplay and has been interviewed in all Botswana radio stations apart from Gabz FM. He has visited Yarona FM numerous times and often freestyled live on air. In 2018 and 2019, he was the most interviewed artist at both Duma FM and Yarona FM radio stations. B.Frnce had his first performances of his life at the biggest club in Gaborone at the time Chez Nicolas as well as one of the biggest stages in Gaborone, Stanbic Bank Piazza. Aside from headlining his own events, he was a headliner to few other local events at No. 1 Ladies Coffee House, Dros and Chez Nicolas at "Be-Gin With Us", "Black Fridays" and more notably "Bronx Thursdays" at the respective venues. B.Frnce is more than just a recording artist. As a producer who has worked with Zeus, Eric Ramco, DJ Diction and more. B.Frnce has so much music to offer to the world; all he needs is the marketing and support big enough for his craft to take it to the world. Frnce is a business-minded individual who has created his own small events and has sold merchandise he designs himself revolving his music; he understands that music, like any other business is a business aimed to generate income for the involved entities. Frnce is very calculated and passionate about the art. The name “The King” is fitting, as he represents his country, continent and people and culture at large greater than anyone else ever could.
