It is unique, as it is the only round brick lighthouse on PEI and one of three in Canada. It was designed by the architect, Isaac Smith, who also created Province House in Charlottetown, and was built in 1845, by Richard Walsh. Due to illness Point Prim Lighthouse will be closed today.
We will reopen tomorrow Monday the 27th of October at 10am.

I found this pup on the Trans Canada this morning opposite the The Country Taste cafe.
It is now at the Point Prim Lighthouse but will be taken to the Humane Society in Charlottetown later today.
