Every community tells a story — but whose voices shape the narrative?
This Friday, Pecha Kucha Bermuda returns with an evening of bold ideas and thought-provoking conversations.
Our next featured presenter is Stacey-Lee Williams, presenting “Dominant Narrative vs. Counter Narrative: Whose Story Gets Told.”
In this Bermuda-focused talk, Stacey-Lee explores how dominant narratives are formed and how alternative perspectives can reveal a more complete picture of our shared history.
Drawing on examples from Bermuda’s colonial past and present, she will examine how narratives shape the way we understand topics such as:

⚖️ Race
🏛️ Class and social structures
Through images, storytelling, and reflection, the presentation invites us to consider a powerful question:
When we tell Bermuda’s story, whose voices are heard — and whose are missing?
Stacey-Lee Williams is a Bermudian educator and social justice advocate and serves as Executive Director of Citizens Uprooting Racism in Bermuda (CURB). She holds degrees in Business Administration and Educational Psychology and is a certified Restorative Practitioner actively involved in initiatives focused on equity, restorative practices, and social change in Bermuda.

What if tarot isn’t about predicting the future… but understanding the present?
This Friday, Pecha Kucha Bermuda welcomes back a familiar face to the stage — Anil Chatergoon, presenting “Divination through the Lens of the Tarot.”
This will be Anil’s third time presenting at Pecha Kucha, and audiences know to expect a talk that is both thought-provoking and deeply engaging.
In this presentation, Anil explores how tarot cards function as a symbolic language, revealing connections between astrology, the elements, and human experience.

Anil Chatergoon is an accountant fluent in both numbers and narrative, with passions that span photography, writing, and theatre. A playwright and director, he directed Twue Wuv and wrote The Last Hurrah, performed at Bermuda Musical and Dramatic Society’s 24 Hours to Curtain.
His previous Pecha Kucha talks — Dreams, Divination, and the Future and Death and Grief: Journey or Destination? — invited audiences to reflect on life’s deeper questions.
This time, he returns to explore the mystery and meaning behind tarot, offering a fresh perspective on how symbols can illuminate everyday life.
