Dignity House

At Dignity House, healing goes beyond talk therapy. Our clients receive Reiki as part of their treatment and are also taught self-Reiki, empowering them to actively participate in their own healing. Reiki supports nervous system regulation, emotional balance, and energetic restoration, helping the body and mind return to a state of safety and alignment. We teach it because recovery isn’t just about getting through today; it’s about giving our clients tools they can carry with them for life.
Celebrating Emerging Leaders in Mental Health
Today we’re shining a well-deserved spotlight on Kaya & Matthew
After successfully completing the Emerging Leaders in Mental Health Internship Program, these two have shown up with courage, curiosity, compassion, and a deep commitment to growth.
Throughout this journey, they leaned into real-world learning, meaningful conversations, self-reflection, and service, developing not only professional skills, but the emotional intelligence and leadership presence that true mental health advocacy requires.
Their educational exposure included shadowing structured classes such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Understanding My Mental Health, Addictions Education, and Metaphysical Classes, providing them with a well-rounded understanding of both traditional and integrative approaches to recovery. Kylah and Matthew also observed acupuncture sessions and guided meditation practices, gaining insight into complementary therapies that support emotional regulation, nervous system balance, and overall wellness.
Kaya and Matthew embodied what it means to be emerging leaders: open to learning, grounded in empathy, and willing to do the inner work while supporting others. The growth we witnessed, personally, professionally, and collectively, was powerful.
We are so proud of all that you’ve accomplished and so excited to see the impact you’ll continue to make in the mental health space and beyond. This is only the beginning.
Thank you, Food Forest BDA!
We’re so grateful for the inspiring tour you hosted for our Dignity House residents! Your passion for sustainable, organic growing and regenerative agriculture opened so many eyes and sparked meaningful conversations about our connection to the land and healthy food. Our residents learned so much about permaculture, composting, and what it truly means to grow food with heart and purpose.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge, your space, and your commitment to community wellbeing. We are truly inspired!
