About the first quote-Godel’s Incompleteness Theorem is very closely related to Turing’s Halting Problem. Both rely on a sort of enumeration of functions and statements; for each statement/function, we can assign a number to it, perhaps the ASCII value of the statement.

The result given by the Halting Problem, when interpreted together with the Church-Turing thesis essentially states that there are functions which no program (in the sense of a “computer program” or an algorithm) on any machine can compute. One such function is “given a program x, compute if x runs forever or eventually halts.”

If all of mathematics were accessible by the “human mind”, then the human mind must be able to compute functions (find proofs) that are not accessible by any machine. We must, in that case, be able to find proofs P such that no computer, nor any discrete algorithm can compute. Therefore, it can’t be the case that mathematics is not “too big for the human mind” and “the human mind is just a machine” at the same time.

Nevertheless, that statement appears to have a logical gap because it seems entirely plausible that the human mind is more than a machine and still can’t access all of mathematics.

Kurt Godel (April 28, 1906 – January 14, 1978) Austrian-born US mathematician, logician, and author of Gödel's proof.

He is best known for his proof of Gödel's Incompleteness Theorems (1931) He proved fundamental results about axiomatic systems showing in any axiomatic mathematical system there are propositions that cannot be proved or disproved within the axioms of the system. In particular the consistency of the axioms cannot be proved.

This ended a hundred years of attempts to establish axioms to put the whole of mathematics on an axiomatic basis.

Today ( April 28) is his 120th Birthday Anniversary.

উন্নত বিশ্বের ব্যবস্থায় সব থেকে গুরুত্ব দিয়ে শেখানো হয় যে, বিষয়টাকে তা হলো “গ্রোথ মাইন্ডসেট”l

“গ্রোথ মাইন্ডসেট” মানে হলো, আমরা যদি বিশ্বাস করি যে মেধা, দক্ষতা আর ক্ষমতা - চেষ্টার মাধ্যমে বাড়ানো সম্ভব, তাহলে আমরা সবসময় শিখতে পারব, উন্নতি করতে পারব।

অন্যদিকে, “ফিক্সড মাইন্ডসেট” মানে হলো, মেধা বা ক্ষমতা জন্মগত, আর সেগুলো বদলানো সম্ভব নয়।

দুইটা বাচ্চার গল্প বলি ব্যাপারটা বুঝিয়ে বলার জন্য -

মেহজাবিন স্কুলে গণিতের প্রথম পরীক্ষায় ভালো নম্বর পায়নি। শিক্ষক তাকে বলেছেন, কিছু বাড়তি অনুশীলন করলে সে আরও ভালো করতে পারবে। মেহজাবিন সেই পরামর্শ শুনে প্রতিদিন নতুনভাবে চেষ্টা করতে থাকে। নিজের ভুলগুলোকে সে শেখার সুযোগ হিসেবে দেখে।

ধীরে ধীরে তার গণিতে উন্নতি হয়। শুধু গণিতেই নয়, জীবনের যেকোনো চ্যালেঞ্জে মেহজাবিন মনে করে, "আমি এখন হয়তো পারছি না, কিন্তু চেষ্টা করলে একদিন পারব।" এই মানসিকতা তাকে আত্মবিশ্বাসী এবং সফল একজন ব্যক্তি হিসেবে গড়ে তুলেছে।

অন্যদিকে, আরিয়ান স্কুলে গণিতে প্রথম পরীক্ষায় ভালো নম্বর পায়নি। সে ভেবেছে, "গণিত আমার জন্য নয়। আমি কখনোই ভালো করতে পারব না।" এরপর থেকে সে গণিতের চর্চা কমিয়ে দেয় এবং পরীক্ষার আগেও খুব একটা মনোযোগ দেয় না।

তার মনে একটি ভয় কাজ করে—"আমি চেষ্টা করেও ব্যর্থ হলে লজ্জা পেতে হবে।" এভাবে ধীরে ধীরে সে নিজের ওপর আস্থা হারায় এবং নতুন কিছু শিখতে ভয় পায়।

পার্থক্য:
মেহজাবিনের গ্রোথ মাইন্ডসেট তাকে প্রতিদিন নতুন কিছু শিখতে উৎসাহিত করেছে এবং জীবনের বাধাগুলোকে শেখার সুযোগে রূপান্তর করেছে। অন্যদিকে, আরিয়ানের ফিক্সড মাইন্ডসেট তাকে ব্যর্থতার ভয় দেখিয়ে থামিয়ে দিয়েছে।

আপনি ছেলে মেয়েকে যতই ভালো স্কুলে, ভালো শিক্ষক, ভালো পরিবেশ দেন না কেন - তাদের মধ্যে যদি গ্রোথ মাইন্ডসেট এর প্রাকটিস না থাকলে জীবনের কোন না কোনো জাগায় তারা ঠেকবেই। তাই ধীরে ধীরে চেষ্টা করুন কিভাবে তাদের মধ্যে গ্রোথ মাইন্ডসেট এর বীজ বপন করা যায় l
