The leaders reviewed the Chinese honor guard after the national anthems before entering for talks. This marks their seventh in-person meeting since 2017. The U.S. delegation, which included Lara Trump and White House aides, attended the reception. President Trump expressed that he was particularly impressed by the children at Tiananmen Square. The two sides are expected to hold two hours of discussions to address long-standing tensions between the United States and China.
