We’re thrilled to announce that our club is officially partnering with the Notre Dame Science Club for the AIUB Presents Notre Dame Annual Science Festival 2024 & 34th GKC, taking place from 30 April to 02 May 2025!

This is one of the most prestigious and largest science festivals in the country, expected to host over 7000 participants from 300+ institutions, with coverage from national media, renowned educationists, researchers, and government officials.

From Project Showcases to Tech Battles, from Scholar Hunts to the legendary GKC, this festival is set to be an electrifying celebration of innovation, knowledge, and creativity!

🔢 Mathematics of the Moon – Eid follows the lunar calendar, shifting 10-12 days earlier each year due to the 29.53-day lunar cycle.

🌙 Crescent Geometry – The Eid moon’s shape follows a parabolic curve, influenced by the angle between the Sun, Moon, and Earth.

🕌 Golden Ratio in Mosques – The stunning Islamic architecture often incorporates 𝜙 ≈ 1.618, the golden ratio, creating perfect symmetry.

March 14th – a special day to celebrate the most famous irrational number, π (pi) ≈ 3.141592653...! From the tiniest atoms to the vastness of galaxies, Pi appears everywhere in mathematics, science, and nature.

Why is Pi so special?
⨀ It’s the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter, constant for all circles.
⨀ It never ends and never repeats – an infinite mystery!
⨀ It plays a key role in geometry, physics, engineering, and even art!
