The South Asian Higher Education Conference officially began today!

Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus inaugurated this landmark three-day international conference at Hotel La Méridien, Dhaka. The event, organized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) under the HEAT (Higher Education Acceleration and Transformation) project, brings together 30 international delegates from the UK, Maldives, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and representatives from the World Bank.

Over the next three days, education experts, university vice-chancellors, researchers, and policymakers will engage in eight comprehensive sessions covering crucial topics including:

✨ Current state of higher education in South Asia
✨ AI integration and digital transformation
✨ Research, innovation, and sustainability
✨ Graduate employability and industry-academia collaboration
✨ Gender issues in higher education

The conference aims to elevate Bangladesh's higher education system to new heights and strengthen the network of higher education commissions across SAARC nations. It will conclude on January 15th with the "Dhaka Higher Education Declaration."
