Read For Life
Having a strong foundation in English sets you up to do and go anywhere, and we want that for every person. We believe that good money has been invested into public libraries and help unravel the full benefits of libraries to communities. We do not believe that public libraries are obsolete but underutilized. Furthermore it is through its use that higher standards of resource center administration can be achieved.

Let's do our part!
π National Literacy Survey, 2024 π
The National Task Force on Literacy Education, in collaboration with the University of the West Indies (Cave Hill Campus), is conducting a National Literacy Survey from September to November 2024. This survey is a key step in assessing literacy skills across Barbados, including reading, writing, speaking, and listening. The results will help guide literacy education and policies to ensure every Barbadian has the opportunity to thrive.
β¨ Participation is voluntary, confidential, and only takes 10-15 minutes. Surveyors will be visiting households across all parishes, and we'd love to hear your thoughts on how literacy impacts personal, workplace, and professional development.
Letβs transform our nation through literacy! π§π§
