We are thrilled to share that Professor Paul Keall, Director of the Image X Institute and NHMRC Leadership Fellow at the University of Sydney, has been awarded the Premier’s Prize for Leadership in Innovation at the 2025 Premier’s Prizes for Science & Engineering

All of us here at Image X are proud to see Professor Keall receive this well-deserved recognition. We can wholeheartedly attest that his leadership is indeed advancing scientific research and innovation.

This award recognises Professor Keall’s outstanding leadership in developing world-first cancer imaging and targeted radiation therapy technologies, and his commitment to translating these innovations into clinical practice for the benefit of patients in NSW and around the world.

Professor Keall’s work has:
• Improved the lives of millions of cancer patients
• Generated major economic and workforce benefits for NSW
• Led to 40+ patents, 20 licences and multiple globally available medical devices
• Supported 13 clinical trials, including eight first-in-human studies
