Kerran Pridmore in the #66 Gippsland Custom Accessories Holden Commodore capped off a dominant weekend with victory in Race 3 at Round 3 of the Victorian Saloon Cars at Winton Motor Raceway, proudly supported by Accurate Plumbing. In another wet and unpredictable race that started under safety car, Pridmore controlled the start and drove away from the field, securing the win by over 15 seconds and completing a near perfect performance in challenging conditions.

South Australian Shawn Jamieson in the #15 Sedan Hotel Holden VY Commodore continued his strong form to finish second, consolidating a consistent weekend at the front of the field. Adam Lowndes in the #19 ProPlumb Racing Holden VY Commodore delivered one of the drives of the year, starting from the rear of the grid after a Race 2 DNF due to a broken shifter, and charging through the field to claim third in difficult conditions.

Kane Baxter-Smith in the #56 Swift Solar Repairs Ford AU Falcon finished fourth, with Kerry Bright in the #45 Bright Racing Holden VY Commodore securing fifth after a close fight with Mark Sutherland in the #9 Tallangatta Automotive/Penrite Holden Commodore.

Jason Cruse in the #14 Drysdale Mowers Ford Falcon showed strong pace early and looked set for a top five finish before a drive through penalty for a starting infringement dropped him back to 12th.

Further back, the wet conditions continued to challenge drivers, with multiple incidents and retirements. Jacob Prestipino in the #99 Holden Commodore was unable to finish the race, while David Lines in the #24 Evolution Crash Repairs Holden VZ Commodore suffered a disappointing DNF, costing him a shot at the Gold Class round victory.

In EA/VN Trophy Class, Jason Cartledge in the #76 Eltham Cylinder Heads Ford EA Falcon completed a clean sweep for the weekend, taking his third win from three races. He finished ahead of Mathew Jager in the #70 Sharp Airlines Ford Falcon EA in second, with Ryan Wridgway in the #2 HBR Motorsport Ford EA securing third.

Gold Class, proudly supported by Mr Instant and Spray Foam Solutions, saw Christopher Handley in the #101 HBR Motorsports Holden Commodore take the race win. George Papageorgiou in the #88 Tru-Blu Motorsport Ford AU Falcon finished second, with Robert Knight in the #28 Ford AU Falcon completing the podium. The result also secured the round victory for Handley, ahead of Papageorgiou and Knight.

For the round results in the AU/VT class, Kerran Pridmore claimed overall honours, with Shawn Jamieson finishing second and Kane Baxter-Smith rounding out the top three. In EA/VN, Jason Cartledge took the overall win, with Mathew Jager second and Ryan Wridgway third.

Round 3 saw the weather throw a bit of everything at the field, keeping drivers on their toes and delivering close, competitive racing all weekend.

The Victorian Saloon Cars now head to Sandown Raceway for Round 4 on August 7 to 9, 2026, where the battle will continue.

Kerran Pridmore in the #66 Gippsland Custom Accessories Holden Commodore delivered a standout wet weather drive to win Race 2 at Round 3 of the Victorian Saloon Cars at Winton Motor Raceway, proudly supported by Accurate Plumbing. After early morning rain soaked the circuit, Pridmore made his move on lap two and broke away from the field, charging to a commanding 13-second victory and proving his class in tricky conditions.

Shawn Jamieson in the #15 Sedan Hotel Holden VY Commodore led the opening lap after a strong start, but could not match Pridmore’s pace once he hit the front, finishing second. Kane Baxter-Smith in the #56 Swift Solar Repairs Ford AU Falcon continued his strong weekend to claim third, ahead of Jacob Prestipino in the #99 Holden Commodore in fourth. Jason Cruse in the #14 Drysdale Mowers Ford Falcon rounded out the top five, marking his first top five finish in the category.

Adam Lowndes in the #19 ProPlumb Racing Holden VY Commodore was an early casualty, pitting on the opening lap and retiring from the race. It capped off a disappointing result after a promising start to the weekend in qualifying and Race 1.

Behind the leaders, a fierce mid-pack battle kept fans entertained, with Jason Cruse, David Lines in the #24 Evolution Crash Repairs Holden VZ Commodore, Kerry Bright in the #45 Bright Racing Holden VY Commodore, Mark Sutherland in the #9 Tallangatta Automotive/Penrite Holden Commodore, and Justin Schembri in the #10 JSRacing Ford Falcon all trading positions throughout the race. The group fought hard in the slippery conditions, with multiple position changes and constant pressure lap after lap.

Despite the wet and wild conditions, the race ran cleanly overall. There were plenty of spins across the field as drivers searched for grip, but all competitors avoided major damage.

Mark Sutherland in the #9 Tallangatta Automotive/Penrite Holden Commodore crossed the line in sixth place but was relegated to eighth after receiving a 15-second penalty for a blend line infringement.

David Lines in the #24 Evolution Crash Repairs Holden VZ Commodore finished sixth outright and secured another Gold Class win, proudly supported by Mr Instant and Spray Foam Solutions. Christopher Handley in the #101 HBR Motorsports Holden Commodore finished second in class, with George Papageorgiou in the #88 Tru-Blu Motorsport Ford AU Falcon completing the podium.

In EA/VN Trophy Class, Jason Cartledge in the #76 Eltham Cylinder Heads Ford EA Falcon took the win, ahead of Kohdi Cartledge in the #147 Ford EA Falcon in second, with Mathew Jager in the #70 Sharp Airlines Ford Falcon EA finishing third.

Newcomer Jeff Flegg in the #55 Holden VT Commodore enjoyed a solid run in the challenging conditions, bringing the car home in 16th place and gaining valuable experience.

The third and final race of the weekend is scheduled for 13:25 and will be streamed live and free on Blendline TV.
