Commercial solar and battery system disconnect and reconnect at an Amana Living site. Unison Energy was called to assist the Primary contractor with some service work on these systems throughout recent renovations.

Our latest client wanted to get more out of their solar and battery system. Utilising the Alpha Smile 5 systems auxiliary contacts we connected the customers hot water booster to a contactor. This contactor was operated by the battery. Once the state of charge of the battery hit 90% full the hot water booster would switch on. This allowed the client to pre-heat their hot water storage tank during the solar window. We topped it off with a man, off, auto 3 position switch in the kitchen so there were no more cold walks out to the booster pump in the cold.
