Did you know the history of Mothers Day?

Anna Jarvis, the daughter of Ann Reeves Jarvis, was instrumental in the establishment of the official Mother's Day holiday in the 1900s. After her mother passed away in 1905, Anna Jarvis came up with the idea of creating a day of honouring the sacrifices mothers made for their children.

After 9 years of Anna Jarvis campaigning for Mother's Day, it eventually become recognised as a public holiday in 1914.
