My Husband is my rock. When I said a year ago that I wanted to leave my very stable career as a teacher and pursue photography he turned to me and said, "yeah okay. Sounds good, we can make it work".

There have definitely been trying times where I almost gave up and went back to Being a teacher but we pushed through and I'm now finally getting to the point where I'm contributing to the household again.

My husband is always there to provide input, suggest ideas, critique an edit I'm not sure about, and most importantly cares for our girls. Sometimes they join me at a photoshoot and go exploring, sometimes they stay home and watch movies, but never does he make me feel guilty for going off to work.

Thank you H for all you do, and for working so hard to provide for us while we adjust.

Story time: POV - working mama with two kids

This beautiful photoshoot was booked for a Saturday at midday, a 30 min drive to the location - the beautiful gardens of. Kingspark. Unfortunately my husband had to pop into his work last minute to pick somethings. The 4 year old is fine to go into his work but due to potential hazards it's not a good idea for the 1 year old to also go. Too late to book a babysitter so guess who's joining me at my photoshoot. (Yes I did message my client and they were fine with this - thankfully they are friends of mine).

Cue 1 year old antics left, right, and center. I packed her a lunchbox but stealing fruit from the picnic set up is much more fun. As is trying to steal my phone set up for BTS videos 🤦‍♀️

But that's life of a working mama and a photographer who often works on weekends. Sometimes your plans go out the window and you adapt.
