ently, when she met her life partner, Rod. He admired her voice and recognised her talent for lyrics and melodies. Rod, a talented guitarist, singer and drummer, hails from the east coast of Australia. He learned his craft in the Sydney pub scene through the 90s. He has played alongside some of the greats of Aussie music. Recently Sarah has reignited his passion for making Original Music and learning the art of home recording. The pair met early in 2023 and, after developing a beautiful friendship, they quickly fell in love (awww). Their romantic journey and experiences of surviving a long distance relationship are central to their songs, and unashamedly set the scene for their first EP, Cingulomania, which itself means "A strong desire to hold a person in your arms." Starting out as a hobby to keep the couple connected whilst living 200kms apart, writing and recording became a key feature in maintaining their relationship. Their song 150 Miles captures the emotion of the struggles faced by people trying to connect without proximity. Our Perfect Storm have created a collection of songs about real life, love, relationships and adversity. They hope their songs encourage open conversation about many challanges we all face in today's society.
