From the Goldfields to the Arctic Circle - Tom’s Mader Journey 🌍
Tom kicked off his Mader journey back in 2020 in the Goldfields division before making the move to Pilbara shuts in early 2022. By September that same year, he packed his bags and headed to Canada and hasn’t looked back since.
Over the next 3 years, Tom worked across multiple sites all throughout Canada, gaining experience in nearly every province along the way. But the standout moment? Landing the opportunity to work up at Eureka on the 80th Parallel in the Arctic Circle, about as remote as it gets.
In September 2025, Tom transferred back to the Midwest division before recently making the move over to SA to be a bit closer to home ahead of heading back to Canada with his partner in the coming months.
What Tom enjoys most about Mader is the mateship that comes with the job.
“No matter where you are in the world, you’ll always run into another Mader bloke keen for a beer and a chat.”
That’s why the Mader shirt is always on for travel days✈️

Our Metro Co-ordinator Jake caught up with one of our Road Transport Mechanics, Matt Grant, at a valued client’s workshop 👊
Matt’s part of our growing Metro road transport crew here in Perth. A solid group of diesel fitters who know their way around trucks and trailers.
Whether it’s short-term support or long-term work, these boys just get in and get the job done 💪

One of our lads Paddy has been flat out on a full rebuild of this Normet for one of our valued clients in Wangara 💪
Anyone who’s worked on these knows they’re no walk in the park. Takes the right attitude and a solid work ethic to get it done properly.
Paddy’s got both in spades. Just gets in, gets stuck into it, and delivers every time 👊

Mader is proud to sponsor local WA grom Cruz Uros as he takes on some of the biggest surf comps in the world 🌊
Growing up around Dunsborough and Yallingup, Cruz has been surfing and skating since he was a little bloke, and now at just 13 he’s already competed at multiple Stab High events across Japan, Sydney and the USA, even finishing 4th in Sydney.
He’s proof that hard work, backing yourself and having a crack can take you a long way. Still balancing school while chasing the dream of going pro, Cruz is an unreal young talent and we’re stoked to support him on the journey 🤙
