MYVISTA

In aged care, we often speak about clinical excellence, governance, compliance, staffing pressures, and the increasing complexity of supporting older Australians. These conversations are important. But there is another force working quietly in the background that rarely appears in reports, budgets, or strategic plans. Volunteers.
Not because they have to be there. Because they choose to be there.
During National Volunteer Week, we celebrate the extraordinary people who freely give their time to support others. At MYVISTA, we see every day how volunteers quietly strengthen aged care communities. They sit with residents, help at activities, and share conversations. These moments can completely change the shape of a day.
Volunteers don’t replace care. They enrich it. They bring warmth, continuity, and community into environments that can otherwise feel clinical or busy.
To all our volunteers at MYVISTA and across aged care, we thank you. Your presence is not just appreciated, it is deeply felt. You remind us that care is not only something we provide. It is something we share.

Mother’s Day was beautifully celebrated at MYVISTA Mirrabooka Residential Aged Care with a warm and joyful morning tea.
Residents enjoyed a delicious spread of treats, uplifting music, and plenty of time together celebrating the special women in their lives. The atmosphere was relaxed, social and filled with smiles as everyone came together to mark the occasion.
A simple but meaningful celebration that was all about connection, community and making the day special for our residents.

The MYVISTA Mirrabooka community came together to celebrate our annual Harmony Fair, held during WA Harmony Week and what a wonderful celebration it was!
Residents, families and staff enjoyed a vibrant afternoon filled with delicious food from different cultures, bringing the flavours of the world right to our tables. One of the highlights was the lively music from crowd favourites Luno Duo, who had everyone smiling, tapping their feet and singing along.
We were also treated to a spectacular performance by Turkish dancers, adding colour, rhythm and energy to the day and celebrating the many cultures that make our community so special.
At MYVISTA, diversity is at the heart of who we are. Events like our Harmony Fair are a beautiful reminder that different cultures, languages and traditions enrich our lives and bring us closer together.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the day such a joyful celebration of community, culture and connection.
