Rosemary’s Baby started cinema’s growing fascination with demons 🌹👶😈

In 1967 Ira Levin wrote the horror novel Rosemary’s Baby 📙, which became the best-selling horror novel of the 1960s, selling over 4 million copies. The high popularity of the novel was a catalyst for a "horror boom", and would achieve enormous commercial success in its wake 😈

It’s about a pregnant woman 🤰 who comes to believe that her neighbours may belong to a Satanic cult and have designs on her unborn child 👶

Various adaptations of Levin’s novel include:

🎬 1968 Paramount Film
It stars and since its release it’s been widely regarded as one of the greatest of all time. In 2014, the was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant."

📺 TV Film 1976
Look What's Happened to Rosemary's Baby is a 1976 American made-for-television , which serves as the sequel to the 1968 film, and the 2nd installment in the franchise of the same name. It has little connection to the 1967 novel by , on which the 1st film was based

I’d just like to add that I’ve reviewed it as a stand alone series, because I haven’t read the book or seen the 1968 film 😁
