Supporting Customers Impacted by the Situation in the Middle East
We know many of our customers are being affected by the current situation in the Middle East, including those trying to stay connected with family, friends and colleagues. Our goal is to make it easier for you to reach the people who matter most.
Here’s how we’re showing support during this time:
Postpaid mobile customers
The cost of calls, SMS and roaming usage to and within selected countries in the Middle East will be credited back to you. These measures apply on eligible postpaid mobile plans from 28 February 2026 and will remain in place as we continue to monitor developments.
Prepaid mobile customers
From 3 March 2026 until further notice, calls to selected countries will be free without needing an add-on.
For full details, including the list of countries and how these credits and free calls apply, please visit: www.optus.com.au/support/international-support
For the latest government travel advice, please visit: www.smartraveller.gov.au
We’ll continue to review these measures to help our customers stay connected when it matters most.
Tour De Pride is Optus’ guide to the places and spaces where LGBTQIA+ pride has lived, fought and flourished. In 1978, what began as a night of celebration and peaceful protest in support of global q***r rights was met with violence and mass arrests right here in Kings Cross. This dark moment became a turning point, igniting decades of activism that reshaped LGBTQIA+ rights in Australia.
Today, we look back with 78er Kate on this location, honouring the bravery of the 78ers who marched for visibility and justice. Join Raine Ingmenn, Optus’ official Pride Guide, explore more of Sydney's q***r history on her tour.
Every photo has a story. These stories are from four of our amazing people. At Optus, we know pride doesn’t happen overnight, it slowly grows from saying yes. From the quiet yes of self-acceptance to the loud yes of celebration, each one helps our community bloom stronger and brighter together.
Our partnership 🏳️🌈Sydney Gay and Le***an Mardi Gras aims to celebrate every bloom, every bud, and every season of growth on the journey to being your true self🌺.
