Cinema Piece is a work about facing the climate crisis together drawing from our work What Am I Supposed To Do? (WAISTD) Art Centre Melbourne 2019.

Combining live art, video and audience participation, Cinema Piece is a genre-defying performance without spectators, where everyone plays a vital role. With humour and hope, this communal experience provides an exhilarating antidote to apathy through collective action.
Deep Soulful Sweats has a loyal following for its shape-shifting events, performing at Rising Festival, Dark M**O, Perth Moves, and festivals across the world.

WE ARE RUNNING FREE WORKSHOPS FOR KIDS AT FED SQUARE! Dive into this acting, singing, dancing, drawing, making madhouse and create a spontaneous theatre show.

Led by Deep Soulful Sweats and and their team of talented collaborators including and , you and your family will embark on an imaginative journey, exploring every aspect of the magical world of theatre. Whether you dream of being the star, the director, or the set designer – or maybe all three at once – the stage is yours. Dig in to one task or try them all. From set building to script writing, costume making to singing, whether you’re a wallflower or a lead actor, there’s something for everyone.

At the end of the session, you’ll prepare the stage for an all-star cast of performers, with everyone coming together in an unrehearsed, group devised, wild and wonderful show.

No experience necessary – all ideas are good ideas for this masterpiece in the making.

These sessions are best suited for 7 – 12-year-old kids and their guardians. Guardians are welcome to join in the fun, or else play the part of adoring audience. Workshops are free and take place at The Edge Federation square on the 10th and 11th July. Go to .square website for more info
