As conversations continue around the future of Cottesloe Beach foreshore developments, we're taking a moment to look back.

'Cottesloe Beach' by Martin Edge captures one of Western Australia's most iconic coastal views as it appeared a decade ago. Featured in the 2016 M_Mixer exhibition alongside works by Matthew Clarke, the painting offers a snapshot in time of a landscape that continues to evolve.

As change looms on the horizon, it will be fascinating to see how artists document and interpret the next chapter of this much-loved coastline.
