PRIDE Therapy Services is a service committed to delivering up to date, quality education and skill development in the areas of dating, relationships and sexuality. PRIDE was fabricated through the realisation that the effectiveness of relationship and sexuality education was not supporting people with intellectual disabilities to suit their needs. PRIDE provides individualised therapy services th
at supports a persons education or skill development needs. PRIDE Therapy Services is headed by Occupational Therapist Paige Hamilton-Smith. Paige has a passion for advocacy within this scope of practice, and believes this area of education is paramount for general well-being. Paige has 3 years of clinical experience in the community disability sector, as well as being a support worker for 5 years prior to becoming a therapist. Paige has worked across multi-disciplinary teams and strengths include therapeutic rapport, emotional regulation development, social skill development, healthy relationship development and sexuality education. When not working Paige is often playing footy, swinging the golf clubs at the driving range, mountain bike riding, or as an avid nature-lover, looking for her next snowboarding/camping/fishing trip. She will have a chat to you about almost anything, and is open in her communication style. If this sounds like a service you, or someone you know, would benefit from - send us a message!
