SUCCESS💫💜💅🏻

I took some time today to look over my beauty salon clients data since we commenced working together… and I have to say… DAMN 🙌🏻 These results were purely organic, which makes it even more impressive (if I do say so myself 💁🏼‍♀️)

I’m not one to brag, but sometimes its nice to stop and appreciate the results of your hard work ✨

If you want to know how I did it, I would sum it up with these three words:

🥂CONSISTENCY - I posted 6 times per week every week for my client. Not only does insta shine favourably on this, but it also allows us to test what’s working and what we can leave behind. Speaking of testing:

🥂ASSESSMENT - What is working? What’s not? You can’t improve what you are putting out if you don’t analyse the data. Look for patterns in engagement and how they relate to the content pillars you are posting for.

🥂 CREATIVITY - Try something new!!!! Yes you can absolutely take inspiration from your competitors, but you need to make the content uniquely yours. Your tone of voice needs to shine through.

Audience members want to gain as much information as quickly as possible, which makes a well curated instagram page the ideal way for users to assess the skill and ambiance of a potential hair salon. Some things your dream clients will be looking for:

✨ON TREND Dramatic before and afters
✨Package deals
✨Up-dos for events (so they can save and use it to tell you exactly what they want)
✨Posts that show off your technical abilities
✨Full process videos (to build trust and demonstrate that you know your stuff)

SO the other day I had a video for one of my hair salon clients go VIRAL 🚀

It reached 20K audience members which is 4 times the size of my clients current audience (on average users find that their reels only reach at least 25-35% of their follower number) 🤯.

There is also a number of elements your reel should hit in order to be in the best position to go viral - or at the very least kick some huge goals.

So, keen to see the ultimate check list for your hair salon reels? ✨Save this for later ✨ and check it out below!

1. Start with an attention-grabbing hook - what is something unique about this video? Is it a must have hair technique? Is your clients hair really unusual? Are you showing off a really technical skill?

2. Showcase a variety of hairstyles and techniques. Your audience can get fatigued if they are seeing the same content over and over!

3. Keep the reel concise within the 60-second limit… we have a short attention span!

4. Include before-and-after shots for dramatic impact.. I know its hard to remember to take photos before and after, but trust me your content will perform better with this!

5. Choose music that is trending, with LESS THAN 20k reels using the audio if possible.

6. Add a clear call to action at the end. What do you want them to do once they have seen your reel? Save it? Call the salon?

7. Ensure high-quality video footage. No phone potatoes here please.

8. Use trending hashtags for increased discoverability. Have a scavenge around! What are your competitors using?

9. Engage with comments and encourage shares. You have to connect with your audience if you want them to interact with you!
