We’re proud to introduce Christine, our Advocacy Services Manager, who has been with Kin for nearly 10 years.
Christine plays a key leadership role across both individual and systemic advocacy. In her day-to-day work, she oversees the Individual Advocates and Systemic Advocacy team, providing guidance, supervision, and mentorship. She also works closely with data and reporting, using insights gathered by advocates to inform reporting to funding bodies and support continuous improvement across services.
A big part of Christine’s role is ensuring that staff have the right tools, resources, and support to deliver high-quality advocacy. She strongly values collaboration within the team, believing that shared knowledge and peer support lead to better outcomes for clients. With advocates from diverse backgrounds, including youth work, disability services, and community sectors, she encourages the team to learn from one another, support one another in complex cases, and work together to navigate challenges.
She was drawn to Kin because of the opportunity to contribute to meaningful advocacy work and be part of an organisation committed to supporting individuals and communities in a practical and impactful way.
Thank you Christine! 🧡

Yesterday we attended the National Disability Conference, where disability sector leaders came together to share insights, discuss challenges, and learn from one another.
One session we found particularly valuable was the National Reform Update: Implications, Risks and Decisions for Providers, presented by Michael Perusco and Karen Stace. It was really helpful in offering insights into current reform changes and what they may mean in practice for the sector.
We really value opportunities like this to stay informed and continue strengthening our work alongside people with disability and their families.
