How much do you know about Officer's History?

Originally known as "Gin Gin Bin" and later "Officer's Wood Siding" (est. 1881) for the railway, the area was named after early settler Robert Officer. The railway station was originally known as Officer’s Wood Siding, named after the pastoralist Robert Officer. Vast amounts of timber were cleared from his land for firewood.
