Requirements: Qualification (or studying) in early childhood education, WWCC, Police check, First Aid & CPR, industry experience.

The hourly pay rate is $36.90 - $41.55 per hour, with superannuation paid on top of these rates and covered by VPM's insurance and work cover.

Outdoor Classroom Day – Learning Beyond Four Walls

Today is Outdoor Classroom Day, a celebration of the many benefits outdoor play and learning experiences provide for children.

Outdoor environments encourage children to explore, create, problem-solve and connect with the world around them. Whether it’s climbing, digging, collecting leaves or simply sitting in the sunshine, meaningful learning often happens outside.

Spending time outdoors also supports children’s physical wellbeing, confidence, emotional regulation and creativity.

Simple ways families can get involved
• Go on a nature walk and talk about what you can see and hear
• Create outdoor art using sticks, leaves or flowers
• Read stories outside or enjoy picnic lunches together
• Encourage messy play, movement and exploration
• Allow children uninterrupted time outdoors to follow their interests
