The gorgeous Michaela turned 21 last weekend and it was my pleasure to create this cake for her special night. Filled with chocolate mud and raspberry buttercream, I was so excited to find that the cake perfectly matched her floral decorations on the night 🤩. Happy birthday once again Micky, here's to 21 being your best year ever 🌹❤

First things first I have some explaining to do! Things have been a bit quiet in the kitchen lately, due to my time being prioritised with my number one love; the brain! When I'm not in the kitchen I'm part of the amazing team at the Melbourne Neuropsychiatry Centre, undertaking my PhD and researching the brain and bipolar disorder 🧠👩‍🔬! Due to this, I do have quite limited availability for bakes, and will eventually catch up with posting what I have been up to 😊.
Nevertheless, these lil brain cupcakes made for delicious treats at the recent MNC Trivia night, and getting to combine my greatest passions made these of my favourite bakes to date 😎
