ROADwhyz VICTORIA

It is with great sadness and regret that ROADWhyz Victoria will be closing its business early 2020.

Director Jason Callanan has agonised over this decision for many months now and due to some external influences has had to close the business.

The closure of ROADWhyz Victoria (the name) has been forced out by WALGA (western Australian Local Government Association) who utilise a similar name known as ROADWISE. They have engaged lawyers who have sent a “cease and desist” letter and threatened legal action if ROADWhyz Victoria continues.

Therefore the name ROADWHYZ VICTORIA is forced to close and all material (including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and website) will cease effectively by 2020.

ROADWhyz Victoria is small not for profit service that cannot and does not have the ability to contest this legal action by WALGA.

Director Jason Callanan wishes to thank those that helped him get this vital community based program up and running and they are- I Andre and Erika Kogan, Christine Bordan,Shane Bordan, Al Clemment, Jules, Jacqui, Geoffrey Exton, Heilsson, Micheal, and many others that contributed to the running of this program.

Also the businesses and people that provided valuable assistance to the program, Julie Demby (lilydale Safety Wear), Roger Williams (Liquid Glass), Hard Yakka, Hotmetal Design, Code 12 towing, Federal MP Tony Smith,State MP Christine Fyffe, State MP Brad Battin, State MP James Merlino, and especially the Wandin-Seville Community Bank and Jan Ockwell who believed in the program and helped establish funding.

If Jason has missed anyone, he wishes give a massive Thank You to them also.

And to the community and schools that experienced the program (too many to name) Jason C Callanan is eternally grateful for the on going support and commitment to reducing the road toll by changing the attitudes of young drivers, not only in Victoria but NSW also.

Let’s not forget the young drivers that attended this program and listening to the message of ROADWhyz. It is you that will make a difference! Remember”Actions change attitudes quicker than attitudes change actions”. Your Choices WILL influence the consequences you experience!
