Simba Global is thrilled to renew its support for the Australian Tennis Foundation this year!

At Simba, we deeply connect with the foundation's mission to inspire brighter futures for disadvantaged children and young people using tennis as a vehicle to reduce social disadvantage and increase social cohesion.

Last night, our CEO, Ahmed Ebeid, proudly hosted LAA board members at the prestigious "O" opening event to support the foundation.

We are extremely proud to have recently collaborated with Mudyala Aboriginal Corporation, an Aboriginal-owned and not-for-profit charitable organisation, in its mission of supporting young people and their families in connecting and engaging with education in a comfortable and culturally appropriate manner.

Working with their CEO and artist Aneika Kapeen, Simba has helped them bring to life products they sell within the community to create a self-sufficient pathway where all funds raised go back into aboriginal children and youth programmes in their local area.

At Simba, we take immense pride in connecting with and empowering local communities and love working with Aneika and the team.

Simba have partnered with APR Plastics, the home of advanced recycling solutions, to trial a new soft plastic recycling program at our Bayswater site.

Since our trial commenced in December 2023, Simba have been able to divert over 1,000 kgs of soft plastics from within our direct operations going to landfill.

“For Simba, this trial was a great opportunity to collaborate with and learn from industry experts to find a solution to our direct operations waste. The total amount of soft plastics we have been able to divert from landfill has been a great start and shows we are moving in the right direction, but we are analyzing every area of our operations to ensure that we are doing our bit to contribute to a circular economy.”

Last week, we celebrated 16 years with Michael Swarris as part of our Simba Global family.

Michael joined us at the very start of our commercial business and has been a stalwart ever since. In his previous life, Michael was a nurse, and this user perspective makes him unique as we evaluate new designs and work with customers to rationalize their existing ranges. His experience and knowledge of reusable healthcare textiles are second to none, making him a go-to for many of our customers and team members alike.

If you ask his colleagues, Michael is the epitome of customer-centricity. His intricate knowledge of our customers, our products, and our sector is a huge driving force behind our healthcare growth.
