WARNING TO OWNERS
Victoria Police has identified a significant spike in the targeting of Nissan Skyline GT-R models and vehicles fitted with RB25 motors in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne in recent weeks.
These thefts appear to be well organised and well executed with a majority of vehicles not being recovered.
Police are asking owners to be vigilant when parking vehicles overnight and consider garaging vehicle off the street or parking other vehicles to block the exit. If a vehicle is to be left for a long term owners should consider disabling the vehicle by removing the battery.
