Another sneaker illustration I've been meaning to share. This time it's the Aimé Leon Dore X New Balance 550 in the ‘Natural Green’ colorway.

With a history dating back to 1989, you’d be forgiven for being unfamiliar with the New Balance 550 silhouette a few years ago, but thanks to Teddy Santis and his brand Aimé Leon Dore, it’s almost impossible to head out and not see a pair.

As expected, there was a lot of anticipation around potential New Balance and Aimé Leon Dore collaborations from the moment Teddy Santis was named the new creative director of New Balance’s MADE in USA division. The outcome? One of the most hyped and in-demand sneaker releases of the last few years.

Nathan from NPBS Pty Ltd approached me for full rebrand of his business to reflect the continued development and provide an overall cleaner aesthetic. For consistency, the new branding takes colour inspiration from the outgoing logo, but includes a completely redesigned icon and supporting typography. The ‘NP’ icon takes inspiration from building plans with elements like door openings creating the ‘N’.

The branding is currently being rolled out across social media, work site banners and apparel.
