These last few months, I’ve felt more professional pressure than ever before and thanks to all the wonderful immune building illnesses my little bub picks up from daycare, I’ve had to cancel/ reschedule more meetings than I can remember 🤒 Having to bail on commitments, especially with my team has caused so much guilt, a feeling of letting people down and at times feeling like I’m failing. And, I’m the ‘boss’ as some would say. So if I’m feeling this, I wonder how other working parents feel? 🤔

My advice to leaders, managers and business owners is to sit down with your employees, especially working parents and ask how are they REALLY going. Reassure them that you know they’re doing their best at juggling family and work. Ask them how you can REALLY support them and the teams they work with?

This working parent gig is hard, no one wants to let anyone down or miss meetings but sometimes it really is out of our control.

I love this quote and personally love everyday I get to work on and but it’s important that we also take time off to recharge our batteries and connect with loved ones.

This Easter I completely disconnected and spent time at the beach, swimming in the sea and enjoying yummy food 😋 and WOW, I feel so refreshed and energised for it! It’s amazing what a few days fully off can do.
