This series has ended with Frozen Heart and I am terribly sad that it’s ending.

But it ended on a high. Adriano Ruffo might be just the most complicated, mysterious man in the series. It’s the quiet, unassuming Iris Fabbri, an employee of the Don, that brings him to his knees.

Iris has been around the Cosa Nostra most of her life and she well accustomed to the dangerous, violent men in this world. She can’t see how Adriano fits into world with those men. He doesn’t display any of the outward characteristics all the others do. Is he large and powerful and hold an air of authority? Yes. But Iris can’t see him causing the pain and destruction she knows the Cosa Nostra are known for.

Adriano doesn’t need or want people. He only married his wife because what he always wanted was a child. Despite that it turned out he couldn’t have children he stayed married. He would have been content to live a life with her and let her do her own thing, but when her cheating turns to a murder plot, he can’t and won’t let it stand.

This is where the Iris see the real side of Adriano and this is where Adriano goes against his typical instinct to get rid of loose ends.

For Iris she tries to stay out of his way. For Adriano she becomes and obsession.
It becomes a twisted tale between the two where there is a push and pull between wanting and denying. It’s a chaotic tale of them fighting attraction, fighting each other, and fighting to stay alive.

There were so many moments in this book that I loved. The story took some twists and turns that were unpredictable and had me searching for answers and there were parts of their puzzle that I put together. It was the underlying buzz of things always feeling on edge that had me craving more.

Frozen Heart was just another phenomenal book by She has created a series that had highs and lows, danger and suspense, passion and spice. It was a ride I would take over and over again and I plan to re-read and listen to the audiobooks of the Perfectly Imperfect series again.

I'm currently reading newest release Heir or Ruin. I think I'm in for a bumpy ride, these two sound like they are going to be complicated and I'm looking forward to seeing how it all plays out and why.
