Windows 8...had our first look at it over the weekend setting up a PC at the farm.
There is so much that I want to like about it, but it simply seems half completed as if they're too scared to leave Win 7 behind.
You keep dancing between a tiled Metro app-based interface, which is very clean simple (maybe too simple), and the old Win 7 desktop which looks completely outdated now.

The most infuriating thing was the Mail app being unable to connect to the ISP's POP3 server because Microsoft doesn't want to support that protocol. Hello Apple???
So, we can't use the mail app and have to download Windows Live Mail 2012 which sits in the Win7 ecosystem. Sigh...
