I often envision my drawings in dreams, thus regarding them as messages from my Indigenous ancestors.

Hi everyone,

Hubby, our fur babies and I are currently camping in beautiful Stanthorpe. It’s such a gorgeous little town, and we’ve already met the loveliest couple travelling with their own fur babies too.

I had plans to get some crafting done—maybe a bit of latch hook or drawing—but instead I ended up crushing my right thumb in the caravan awning 🥹👍🏽.
The metal bar cut through the middle thumb joint, crushed the bone and pushed a piece through the skin at the top. It was also dislocated at the bottom of my thumb. The hospital staff here are Stanthorpe were amazing but they haven’t got an orthopaedic department. I now have a temporary cast on and will go to the Gold Coast hospital when we get back.
At the moment I’m not sure what this means for my art, as there’s a 80% chance of infection and complications.

Whatever happens, happens… I’ll just go with the flow like I always do.

Love and light ✨

Earth Day is a beautiful reminder that this planet is our shared home. Every tree, every ocean, every tiny insect, every bird, animal, and person is connected in the web of life. When we care for the Earth, we are also caring for ourselves and for future generations.

Protecting our planet does not always have to come in huge actions. It can begin with the small choices we make each day, like planting for pollinators, reducing waste, reusing what we can, supporting conservation, and teaching kindness towards all living things. Every effort matters.

The Earth gives us beauty, food, air, water, and life itself. It deserves our respect, our protection, and our gratitude. On Earth Day, let’s remember that every creature has a place, every habitat has value, and every one of us has the power to make a difference.

Happy Earth Day. May we all do our part to protect this precious planet and everything living on it. 🌏💚

Pretty, delicate, and just a little bit stinky — the Lyramorpha is such a gorgeous little bug. Nature really knows how to show off sometimes. I can’t get over those colours and that shape. Even the bugs people overlook have their own kind of magic.

Love and light ✨ Nikki
