🌾 What a season it’s been for the Wattleseed Collective!

The past few months have been huge for our Sustainable Communities team - and we’re so grateful for everyone involved.

With our new Program Coordinator, Julie, on board, we’ve been travelling across the Kimberley, connecting with ranger groups, schools and community programs, and sharing knowledge about wattleseed and the opportunities it creates.

Highlights from this season:
✨ Learning on Country with the Nyangumarta Women’s Rangers
✨ Yawuru Country Managers collecting seed around Broome
✨ Cleaning of seed with Karajarri Rangers and La Grange Remote Community School
✨ TAFE and school visits across Broome and Fitzroy - harvesting, drawing, learning and even making wattleseed hedgehog cake!
✨ Hands-on seed cleaning with the Walalakoo Junior Rangers
✨ Harvesting and food-grade seed processing with The Skill Engineer’s Kimberley Bush Garden crew
