My next-door neighbour approached me for a quick laundry renovation. She wanted something simple, yet neat and functional. After discussing colour options, we decided on a coastal-inspired palette featuring crisp white with timber accents.

Within a day, I finalised a design that she loved, and the finished result exceeded her expectations.

Below are progress photos, including the before shots, the design stage, and the completed project.

A friend mentioned that his friend was renovating her kitchen and was feeling frustrated with the design process. I offered to provide some advice, and she was happy to accept.

She explained that she had received designs from several others, but none of them captured what she truly wanted. Knowing the home’s potential was limitless, she also expressed her desire for a real “wow factor.”

One of the first questions I asked was how she would feel about removing a load-bearing wall to open up the space. She was open to the idea, which allowed us to take the design in an exciting new direction.

A local resident recently reached out on a community page looking for ideas to refresh her kitchen. I offered my assistance, and after chatting with her, I quickly learned how much she loves to cook and entertain.

One major challenge with this project was a load-bearing pylon positioned right in the centre of the room, which couldn’t be removed. With careful planning and ongoing collaboration, we developed a design that not only worked around this obstacle but also enhanced the overall flow and functionality of the space.
