What age did you first come out, and how did your family take it?
I first came out as a gay at the age of 12, but as time went on ,I felt like i still wasn't MY TRUE SELF.
When i turned 16, I told my mum that I wanted to be a women and that being just “gay” wasn't me.
Most of my family were ok with the idea, but as we know there is always a couple that never feel the same.
My mother and grandmother already knew i was going to be a girl due to my effeminate behaviour as a kid.
As for the rest of my family, they were 50/50 about me transitioning.
At present, my family wouldn't change me for the world, they accept me for who i am.
It may have taken, some time to do so, but its given me tough skin, a heart thats true and a fighting spirit that no one can take from me.
