In Mardi’s case, she originally presented in a band size that was too large and a cup size that was too small - a very common combination when it comes to finding the right fit.

The ribcage band should fit firmly to support the breast tissue, while the cup needs to fully contain and support the breast without cutting in or flattening. Cup volume also changes depending on the band size, so a 12D and a 16D are actually very different cup volumes.

Once Mardi was fitted into the correct size, the larger cup size was able to hold all of her breast tissue comfortably and project it forward, creating a smoother finish and more balanced support.
