Phuong just finished packing the Cambodia shipment by hand.
Every panel, every rail, every box checked herself...because the only way to know it gets there right is to be there and check it in person ☀️
Another big step to lighting up lives in Cambodia is ✅
One by one, everything wakes up.
A light. A fan. The little hum of a room that just got its power back. This is the second the solar kicks in at the orphanage, and the whole place comes to life.
Watch it all turn on 💛☀️
The short version of how this came together? It went something like this.
"We would like to do something bigger in 2026, who's in?"
GoodWe Australia and New Zealand came through first with a full year of inverters. Then Yingli Solar with the panels. Then Clenergy AUS & NZ with the racking. Three companies, and just like that, every piece of a complete solar system was committed and on its way.
So it got sent across the ocean. And it just landed in Vietnam.
This is the part where it stops being gear on a manifest and starts being power on a roof.
And the heroes of this chapter are GoodWe, Yingli and Clenergy, who turned one message into 1,000+ little lives getting brighter. 💛☀️
A dentist came to the kids.
Tue Minh Orphanage is tucked deep in the Lam D**g coffee hills...getting to a clinic is not a simple thing. So this year, they brought the clinic to the orphanage instead. Every child got checked.
That was the electricity savings at work. The bill dropped about 63% after solar went in. And that is what they did with the difference: a mobile dental visit for the whole orphanage, and individual birthday cakes. Before, there was one cake to share between everyone.
That is only some of the things the savings have been able to do ☀️
Team on the roof. Clinic still open below.
Something you might not have known about the recent installation at Thien Than Nho.
Ms My runs a free clinic out of the ground floor of the orphanage. Acupressure, joint care, basic therapy...open to the whole neighbourhood, no charge.
So while the team was putting solar on the roof, down on the ground floor, Ms My kept her clinic open the whole time. Same hours, same patients, same helpful routine she's been offering for years.
The installation was happening above her. Community was being cared for below.

Solar install day at Thien Than Nho ☀️
Phuong walked in this morning with supplies and the panels followed. 20 girls, one steel rooftop, and a free community clinic running out of the same building.
The electricity bill here takes 40-60% of the monthly budget. Today that starts to change.
THE ROOM YOU DIDN'T SEE
Ms My runs the orphanage. She also runs a free clinic out of the same building - we didn't know until we walked in last month.
20 girls. One founder. One modest building in Đồng Nai.
The clinic we didn't know about is down the hallway. Community walks in, gets treated, walks out. No charge.
The power bill takes 40-60% of what it costs to run this place every month - money that could be food, supplies, or keeping that clinic open. This will change soon!
Thien Than Nho is next ☀️
Phuong just walked into Thien Than Nho to scope out the next installation ☀️
New kids. New rooftop. New solar system coming soon 🛻
We often get asked why art is such a big part of Little Sunshine Pledge, so we wanted to share this.
Art gives us a way to communicate without language. It’s how kids can express themselves, their feelings, and their dreams, even when words aren’t easy or available. That’s why it fits so naturally alongside our work.
This is a behind-the-scenes look at one of the sets of artwork created for LSP, showing the thought, meaning, and intention that shaped it long before it was finished.
We’re really grateful to be able to share this part of the journey with you 💛
