If you’re on a GLP-1 medication, or considering one, the way you eat matters just as much as the medication itself.
Because when appetite is significantly reduced, it’s not about eating perfectly, it’s about making every bite count.
Supporting your body with enough protein, fibre, and key nutrients becomes the difference between feeling depleted versus steady, energised, and well.
This isn’t about restriction. It’s about strategy.

A lot of what we see in clinic isn’t lack of effort.
It’s misdirected effort.
Clients come in doing all the “right” things, or what they’ve been told is right, and their skin is still reactive, inflamed, and not improving.
Here’s what’s often making things worse:
- Over-washing, stripping the barrier and disrupting the microbiome.
- Cutting out dairy, without ever addressing the gut driving the reaction.
- Layering actives, five at once, no strategy, and a compromised skin barrier.
- Treating the skin topically, while completely ignoring the hormonal cycle underneath it.
- Starting supplements, new ones every few weeks, with no consistency or clinical direction.
- Labelling it “hormonal acne”, and accepting it as something you just have to live with.
This is where most people get stuck, because it’s not about doing more.
It’s about doing the right things, in the right order, based on what your body is actually asking for.
If you’re ready to approach it differently, we’re here.

This isn’t anti-medication, it’s what you deserve to know before you start...
GLP-1 medications are being prescribed more than ever, often positioned as a simple solution for weight loss.
But clinically, we’re seeing a different side emerge.
- Nausea and vomiting, especially as doses increase.
- Muscle loss, not just fat loss, and this has long-term metabolic implications.
- Nutrient deficiencies, B12, iron, calcium, vitamin D.
- Slowed digestion, which changes how food is tolerated and absorbed.
- Weight regain, commonly seen once the medication is stopped.
These are parts that don’t get talked about.
Because when you understand what’s happening beneath the surface. you can protect your metabolism, your muscle mass, and your long-term health while using these tools.
