Have you ever heard of ‘Swedish Death Cleaning’?
I love this concept! 💚💚
It is practiced quite widely in Sweden. Margareta Magnusson wrote a book about it called ‘The Gentle Art of Swedish Death Cleaning’. The concept is to only keep things that are important to you and that you need, to get all your things in order before you die, so your loved ones don’t have to deal with it after. It’s usually started around the age of 65 but Margareta believes every adult should do it.
It might sound a bit morbid but it doesn’t have to be. If you look around you at all your belongings and think about what your loved ones would need to deal with if you suddenly died it kind of spurs you into action to remove all the crap you don’t really even like or want or need. Try it!
