Vienna enjoyed worldwide recognition; a lot of artists became noticed in this creative and productive period. Finest quality, functionality and a simple language in shape were decisive components for their inventions. Still today they influence our perception and understanding in design and arts. The architects and artists, aiming for the same ideals, inspired each other and questioned former restrictions. Many of them such as Josef Hoffmann and Kolo Moser,
as well as their competitor Adolf Loos are well known today; they are masters of an epoch, that opened the doors to a world of design.
