This national level event is dedicated to the 350th Martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji.

Gatka Federation USA: A Bridge of Culture and Community

The Gatka Federation USA is national governing body in the United States responsible for preserving, standardizing, and promoting the Sikh martial art of Gatka, functioning under the international umbrella of the WORLD GATKA Federation (WGF). The Federation organizes national championships, referee workshops, and seminars to unify Gatka practitioners, develop new talent, and introduce the traditional art form to a wider audience, promoting discipline and cultural heritagea. Its non-profit organization and its mission is to preserve and promote the ancient Sikh martial art of Gatka, which embodies the very essence of the Khalsa spirit. More than just a sport, Gatka is a disciplined art form that instills courage, self-control, and a sense of responsibility to stand for justice. Through our training, we empower Sikh youth with practical self-defense skills, giving them the confidence to tackle bullying and to proudly embrace their identity.

By nurturing these values, we are helping to cultivate the next generation of the Khalsa, individuals who are not only physically capable but are also compassionate and confident leaders. The Federation is a positive force within the Sikh community and also fosters valuable connections with other diverse communities, believing that sharing this art strengthens the fabric of our multicultural society. Our tournaments and workshops provide a platform for sikh athletes to learn, compete, and celebrate together.
