Did you know your sleep quality actually starts the moment you wake up? Sounds weird right🤷♀️
Getting outside for just 5–10 minutes of morning sunlight helps set your body’s internal clock, so melatonin is released at the right time later that evening. That can mean better sleep, a better mood, and more balanced energy.
And if you’re in perimenopause, every little habit that supports better sleep is worth it!

I’ve started drinking saffron every morning, and in the evening I love it with warm plant-based milk and a few dried rose buds. It’s become one of my favourite daily rituals😍 And I just LOVE adding new rituals to my day!
During perimenopause, many of us become much more sensitive to stress, I know I do! Mood swings can feel like a rollercoaster, and that’s one of the reasons I started adding saffron to my day. Studies suggest it can help support a healthy stress response, boost mood, and promote a greater sense of wellbeing. It’s often called the “sunshine spice” because of its positive effects on mood. ☀️
It’s also packed with antioxidants, which are wonderful for supporting healthy, glowing skin from the inside out. Saffron has been used for thousands of years, including in Ayurveda, where it’s known as a rejuvenating spice.
Sometimes the simplest daily rituals can make the biggest difference. Have you tried saffron? 🧡
Note: you just need 8-10 strands, crush them then add to cubes of ice so it melts. Then add this to your hot water pot. This is the best way to get the most of your saffron. Also with the residue put on your face😍 you can see a few strands on my face🤷♀️
This way you can extract most of the amazing properties of this amazing spice
