Our client is seeking a Software Engineer for a fully remote position.

✔️ Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on existing and new software development projects focused on satellite control and instrument control software.
- Implement software requirements engineering at the technical specification (TS) level and actively participate in co-engineering at the requirements baseline (RB) level.
- Co-develop software architecture and design, and enhance software components.
- Develop and execute software unit tests, integration tests, and validation tests at both TS and RB levels.
- Carry out software verification activities, including static software analyses.
- Create comprehensive documentation for all tasks mentioned above.
- Support the Scrum Master and Product Owner in planning and reporting project progress.
- Assist in defining, developing, and maintaining processes, tools, facilities, and technologies within the department.

✔️ Your Qualifications:
- A degree in computer science, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or a similar field.
- Relevant experience in software engineering.
- Methodological expertise in requirements development, software design, development in C/C++, unit testing, software validation, configuration management, and scripting (Python).
- Familiarity with real-time operating systems such as RTEMS, VxWorks, or embedded Linux, along with communication interfaces like MILBUS, CANBUS, Ethernet, and serial interfaces.
- Ideally, knowledge of multicore processors (e.g., LEON multicores GR712/GR740 and the Zynq 7000 (ARM) family) and their applications in embedded systems.
- Experience with agile methodologies and software development processes aligned with ECSS-E-ST-40C and ECSS-Q-ST-80C or similar standards (e.g., DO-178B).
- A strong sense of enthusiasm and self-motivation, along with a commitment to high-quality work, excellent teamwork and communication skills, and a genuine passion for your profession.
- Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of German is a plus.
