In my second labour, I held a comb.
When a surge came, I pressed it into my palm and squeezed.
There’s something called the Pain Gate Theory — when you create strong sensory input in one part of the body, the brain can prioritise that signal.
It doesn’t remove intensity. But it can change how it’s experienced.
For me, it helped.
It gave me something steady to focus on. Something I could control when everything else felt big.
I’ve gifted combs to many mamas since.
Not as a magic fix. Just as another tool in your birth bag.
Support isn’t always complicated. Sometimes it’s simple. Sometimes it fits in your hand.

Today we had a work party at school.
Parents sewing what’s torn, oiling wooden toys, planting, fixing shelves.
Nothing glamorous.
Everything essential.

What does stepping into your divine Feminine energy look like?
Is it as simple as prioritizing self care right now, whether that be a shower, a bubble bath, a smoothie, green juice or maybe a slice of cake?
Is it starting to listen to your intuition.. that gut instinct that you feel when you walk into a situation. Trusting yourself.
Is it allowing yourself to be cared for.. to fully receive. Because you realise that you deserve it.
Is it being in nature with no agenda but to connect and be open to whatever insights may come.
Remember Divine Feminine Energy is not just for women. We each carry both masculine and Feminine energy and they are often not in alignment with eachother. Yin and Yang.
For a man to heal his Feminine is incredibly powerful, to know he is safe to be vulnerable. For a woman to heal this and now she can trust herself first.
Let me know in the comments which aspect resonates with where you are right now 🩵🌟
